EPFO Wage Ceiling Increased from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000

A significant update for employers and employees.

The Government has approved the enhancement of the EPFO wage ceiling for mandatory coverage from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month, effective 17 September 2026.

This means employees drawing wages between ₹15,000 and ₹25,000 per month, who were earlier outside mandatory EPFO coverage on account of the wage ceiling, may now come within the statutory coverage, subject to the applicable EPF provisions.
